Cheltenham High School's 140th Commencement
At Cheltenham's 140th commencement, 340 students crossed the stage to receive their diplomas. CHS woodwind and percussion played the processional, alma mater, and a number of other tunes, while the choir sang "Irish Blessing" and "Cheltenham, We Sing Your Praises." Class officers did introductions and Darson Antoine was the featured student speaker. Class president Gabrielle McLeod also made remarks and led the class in the turning of their tassels. Congratulations to the Class of 2024!

StoryMap Project at CBK
The StoryMap Project is a digital composition project where Cedarbrook seventh graders utilize professional GIS tools provided by ESRI through an educational license. Students use ESRI’s suite of software to create interactive websites based on their research of a selected location. This project encourages students to develop and refine their research skills, focusing on narrowing their research into three distinct areas. Students learn to formulate and differentiate between “open” and “closed” questions, inspired by Warren Berger's book “A More Beautiful Question.” They use these questioning techniques to guide their research on a location significant to their identity. The culmination of their efforts is the creation of a StoryMap website, incorporating text, photos, and GIS maps enriched with detailed metadata, to provide a comprehensive and engaging presentation of their location that is published online. Cheltenham Dedicates Street Sign to Longtime Myers Crossing Guard
Through a collaboration between the Cheltenham School District, Myers PTO, and Cheltenham Township, a street sign honoring deceased, long-time Myers Elementary crossing guard Mary Washington was unveiled Thursday afternoon before a crowd of her family, teachers and community members. Ms. Washington served for nearly 50 years as a school crossing guard at Myers and left an indelible mark on the community.
Photo of the Week
Wyncote first grade took a walking trip to visit their pen pals at Wyncote Place on Wednesday. They sang songs from their spring concert and ended with the school song. Residents introduced themselves to the students and students shared their names with residents. Students wrote letters throughout the year and sent a Valentine’s craft. They enjoyed getting to know the community!
