New Routine for Drop Off & Pick-Up
For safety during our roofing projects at Lovington High School, Ban Alexander Elementary and Lovington School will be making changes to bus pick-up and drop-off. As a result of the shift, Ben Alexander Elementary will utilize the bus lane on the south side of Ben Alexander for all student pick-up and drop-off. Please see the image above for the changes. The new routine will begin on Monday, April 1, 2024. Thank you for working with us to improve student safety at Ben Alexander and Lovington High School.

STEM LAB
Mrs. Greebon and Mrs. Gonzalez's Class
Hatching eggs in a classroom/STEM lab is a fantastic hands-on learning experience that can be incredibly engaging for students. This hands-on learning experience integrates science, biology, and environmental studies. Students can witness firsthand the miracle of life and gain a deeper appreciation for living organisms.
The incubation period varies depending on the species of bird, but for chickens, it usually takes around 21 days for the eggs to hatch. Students are learning about the importance of temperature, humidity, and turning the eggs for proper development.
Mrs. Greebon and Mrs. Gonzalez are integrating various subjects such as science, math, language arts (through journaling or writing about the experience)

Parent-Teacher Conferences
Thank you parents and guardians for taking the time to attend our parent-teacher conferences and for your active involvement in your child's education. Your support and collaboration are invaluable in helping your child reach their full potential.
Student Attendance
Student attendance is crucial for several reasons,
Regular attendance is strongly correlated with higher academic achievement. When students attend school consistently, they have more opportunities to engage in learning, participate in discussions, complete assignments, and benefit from teacher instruction.
Many absences disrupt the learning process and can lead to gaps in understanding and knowledge.
In addition, school attendance contributes to students' social and emotional well-being by providing opportunities for peer interactions, friendships, and support networks. Regular attendance also helps students feel connected to their school community.
Ben Alexander teachers and staff truly love our students and we strive for our students to receive a high quality education, develop essential skills, and are well-prepared for future success in academics and life.
