Dear Leesburg Fami-LEEs,

I hope this message finds you soaring high! 🦅

First and foremost, a huge thank you to the Leesburg PTO and all of the amazing volunteers for their incredible efforts in running our annual Penguin Patch shop. Your dedication and hard work have truly made this event a memorable success, and we are so grateful for your support.

We have two exciting events coming up this week that we hope you can join us for:

1. Family Dance Night: On Wednesday, December 18, we will be hosting a dance night for our 2nd and 4th graders. The event will take place in the gym at 6:30 PM. It's a fantastic opportunity for families to come together, enjoy some music, and dance the night away. Let's make it a night to remember!

2. Monthly PEP Meeting: Also on Wednesday, December 18, we will have our monthly PEP meeting. We encourage all families to attend and participate in the discussions and activities planned for the evening. Your involvement is what makes our community strong and vibrant.

Lastly, please don't forget that our Winter Break is from December 23 to January 3. This is a wonderful time to spend with family, relax, and recharge for the New Year. We look forward to seeing everyone back in January, refreshed and ready to take on the second half of the school year with renewed energy and enthusiasm.

Thank you to the Leesburg Volunteer Fire Department for the coat donations to our students. They will be greatly appreciated on these cold winter days.

Early Eagle Exercise

Attention Leesburg Eagles!

Join us on Tuesday and Friday mornings to walk or run the track before school. Everyone is welcome, you don’t have to sign up.

Students can be dropped off at 7:30 on the sidewalk by the softball field. Drop off after 7:35 will not be permitted.

Students will walk or run the track from 7:30 - 7:45 and then they will go to class.

We will not meet if it is raining. This is an optional activity. Students may join us as frequently as they would like.

November has come and gone and we have a lot to be thankful for! We began the month with our PTO meeting on the 7th and were delighted to have the 2nd grade team share a spotlight. Thank you to all those who joined and provided valuable discussion on the many topics that were covered. We also had two successful spirit days at Altitude Trampoline and Panda Express that were very well attended!

In addition to the Winter Holiday Shop, we also have a Spirit Night at Texas Roadhouse on December 12, followed by a fun and exciting Spirit Week! A full list of Spirit Days for the week of December 16-20 can be found in the body of the newsletter.

January may seem far off but it will be here before we know it! We are hoping to plan a winter Bingo Night or Family Game Night. To make this possible, we need your help! We are actively looking for volunteer leads to help plan these events. If you are interested in leading one of these amazing family fun nights, please click here to sign up!
