Trojan Times Elementary Update
For the week of March 4th
MONTHLY MINDSET-- Live to Give
This week was our last week of Live to Give. Next Thursday we will introduce our final mindset of the year-- The Time is Now! Hopefully, the activities we've done this month for Live to Give have made an impact on the students and how they feel about helping others!
Leave a Legacy – You want the people in your life to think about you in a kind way. You want them to hear your name and smile. If you make good choices and do nice things for people, they will always want to be your friend and have you around. Leaving a legacy is making sure people smile when they hear your name!
Weekly Recap
March is Here-- In like a lamb and out like. . . ?
Where does the time go? It's hard to believe that March has already arrived. We have completed seven months of school and only have two and half left together. March came in like a lamb on Friday; hopefully, the it doesn't leave us like a lion.
We had another good week together. Wednesday, we recognized all of the February and August birthdays. Student council and PTO provided donuts and a card. We had some excited kiddos. The chocolate donuts were a hit!
Begindergarten celebrated their 100th day of school on Thursday. They did a multitude of fun activities and the students had a blast.
Friday, Kindergarten made learning fun with a "glow day" they wore white and neon colors and used black lights to put a little twist on the learning. They also included their fourth grade buddies in the fun. I'm not sure who it enjoyed more the kindergarteners or fourth graders!
I love the creativity of our teachers. They continue to find fun ways to keep the learning fresh. There is never a dull day at PES!
Finally, please continue to monitor your child's health. I'm hoping we are almost through the rush of influenza, and the best way to help with that is to keep your student home if they are sick. I know it can be inconvenient, but it truly does help stop the spread of sickness. Washing hands and covering when sneezing or coughing helps stop the spread of germs. If we all work together, we will get through it quicker! Thanks for your help and support!
