March is shaping up to be an inspiring month, filled with learning, creativity, and community celebrations. From our young scholars reaching milestones in PreK to afterschool students embracing Women’s History Month, there is so much to be proud of! 🌟

March is shaping up to be an exciting and enriching month for our Early Childhood Program at 82nd Street Academics! Our young learners are reaching important milestones, engaging in creative activities, and celebrating the joy of learning together.

📚 Read Across America Week
We’re diving into the magical world of books! Through interactive storytelling and creative activities, we’re inspiring a love for reading and sparking curiosity in our little learners.

🎉 Student Spirit Week
Self-expression and school pride take center stage during our themed Student Spirit Week! This fun-filled event encourages individuality while fostering unity within our school community.

🏅 100 Days of School Celebration
Our prekindergarten students have officially reached 100 days of learning, growing, and thriving! We celebrated this milestone with Family Engagement Art Projects and interactive activities, highlighting their progress and accomplishments.

🌎 International Day of Women
This month, we’re honoring inspirational women throughout history—teaching our students about strength, resilience, and the power of dreaming big.

March will be a month full of exploration, creativity, and celebration for our prekindergarten students, and we can't wait to see them continue to shine! ✨

As we step into March, we’re wrapping up a fantastic February filled with celebration and milestones! Our students had a blast spreading kindness on Valentine’s Day, creating heartfelt cards and strengthening friendships. We also celebrated the 100th Day of Afterschool, reflecting on all the learning, fun, and growth we've experienced so far!

Now, we turn our focus to an exciting month ahead!

🌎 March: Women’s History Month
This month, our students will dive into the inspiring stories of women who changed the world. Through hands-on activities, creative projects, and engaging discussions, we’ll explore the contributions of trailblazers in science, arts, activism, and beyond.

🎭 Creative Expression & Themed Activities
Students will participate in storytelling, art projects, and interactive games that celebrate strength, leadership, and empowerment. Each week, we’ll highlight influential women and encourage students to share their own dreams and aspirations!

March will be a month of inspiration, creativity, and discovery, and we can’t wait to celebrate with our students! 🚀✨

February was a month full of fun and creativity at PS 280!

🎭 Mid-Winter Recess All-Day Program
During the break, our students enjoyed a week of exciting Spirit Week activities, including Superhero Day, Jersey Day, and PJ Day! Our 4th & 5th graders had a blast showing off their comfy PJs while making unforgettable memories.

🎨 Valentine’s Day & Art Projects
Our Kindergarten students poured their hearts into beautiful Valentine’s Day art projects to share with their families. Meanwhile, our 1st graders showcased their creativity with various art projects throughout the week!

The Summer Rising Application Portal will be open from March 4th to March 28th. Be sure to secure your child’s spot!

📚 Test Prep & Academic Growth
Our older students are hard at work, participating in engaging literacy and math activities to prepare for the upcoming NY State Test. Their dedication is inspiring!

💃 Dance Classes with Mr. T
Every Tuesday & Thursday, our 3rd-5th graders get moving in Dance Class with Mr. T—a fun way to build confidence, express creativity, and stay active!

March is set to be an exciting month at PS 280, and we can’t wait to see our Lionhearts continue to shine! ✨🦁

🌍 Embracing Diversity – This month, we honor the rich cultural and religious traditions within our community, including Holi, Ramadan, and Eid. It’s a time to learn, reflect, and celebrate together!

🏓 Ping Pong Playoffs – The competition is heating up as our talented players go head-to-head in the Ping Pong Playoffs! With exciting matchups ahead, we can’t wait to see who will make it to the finals. Good luck to all our competitors!

March promises to be a month of celebration, community, and competition at HPCMS—let’s make it unforgettable! 🎉

At 82SA@TRCS, we take pride in fostering student voice and choice, empowering our scholars to take charge of their educational journey. By creating a space where students are seen and heard, we encourage active participation, creativity, and a love for learning!

February was a month filled with love, creativity, and celebrations at Ren 2! ❤️✨

💌 Valentine’s Day Fun – On February 14th, students across all grades came together to celebrate friendship and kindness, enjoying a day filled with Valentine’s Day arts and crafts with their classmates and teachers.

🎉 Birthday Shout-Outs – A very special happy birthday to Josue, Antonella, and Benjamin! These three siblings, all part of our Ren 2 family, celebrated their birthdays with us in February—Josue on the 24th and twins Antonella & Benjamin on the 25th. 🥳🎂

📢 Looking Ahead to March

• 🗓️ Parent & Teacher Conference Day – On March 13th, afterschool will not be in session, but our afterschool team will be available to support families with translation services.
