Register Now and Secure Your Spot for Los Angeles Unified Transportation for All Program
Dear Los Angeles Unified Families,
We are pleased to announce that the Los Angeles Unified School District’s Transportation for All program for the 2024-25 school year will be available to all Los Angeles Unified families through an easy opt-in process beginning April 10 and ending May 3. Students now have the opportunity to access transportation that ensures they arrive at school safely and on time. This easy process will allow Los Angeles Unified to develop bus stops that are convenient for our families. Confirmation of availability and bus route times and locations will be provided during the third week of July.
Here’s how it works:
✔ Opt-In Convenience
Simply visit lausd.org/schoolbus for a step-by-step guide on how to opt-in. One of the safest ways to travel is by school bus. Access safe and reliable transportation for your child now!
✔ Primary and Secondary Eligibility
The opt-in process is available to all families including elementary students residing outside a one-mile radius and secondary students residing outside a two-mile radius.
✔ Magnet and Current Riders
The opt-in process is new and transportation from the prior school year will not automatically be renewed. Opt-in is required every school year, except for students in a Special Education program with active transportation services.
✔ First Come, First Served
Availability is limited and school bus seating will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. So don't delay – secure your spot early to ensure your child's transportation needs are met.
✔ Saving you time and money
Gas prices aren’t going down and you may be able to save time and money. Join us on this exciting journey toward a more convenient and safe transportation experience.
For more information and to secure your child’s spot before May 3, visit lausd.org/schoolbus or call the Family Hotline at 213.443.1300.
See YOU in School!
-Los Angeles Unified Transportation Services Division
Sincerely,
Mr. Teer
