Dear Leesburg Fami-LEE,

As winter settles in, we have a flurry of exciting events to share with you! From December 9th to 13th, our Penguin Patch Holiday Shop will be open, giving students the chance to find special gifts for their loved ones.

On December 18th, we invite all 2nd and 4th grade families to join us for a festive Family Dance Night at 6:30 PM. It's sure to be a night filled with joy and laughter!

Don't forget our PEP Meeting on December 19th, followed by a Book Swap on December 20th, where students can exchange their favorite reads and discover new ones.

Finally, please note that Winter Break will be from December 23rd to January 3rd. There will be no school during this time, so we hope you enjoy a restful and joyous holiday season.

Early Eagle Exercise

Attention Leesburg Eagles!

Join us on Tuesday and Friday mornings to walk or run the track before school. Everyone is welcome, you don’t have to sign up.

Students can be dropped off at 7:30 on the sidewalk by the softball field. Drop off after 7:35 will not be permitted.

Students will walk or run the track from 7:30 - 7:45 and then they will go to class.

We will not meet if it is raining. This is an optional activity. Students may join us as frequently as they would like.

Dear Parents,

We're so excited that our school will be participating in an in-school Penguin Patch® Holiday Shop to spread holiday cheer!

Penguin Patch® Holiday Shop is a fun way for students to shop for family members and experience the spirit of giving while learning to earn, budget, and save! Our shop will be open from December 10 to December 13. Your child’s teacher will communicate their specific shopping date and time in the upcoming weeks.

Your student will have over 100 delightful gifts to choose from, all ranging in price from $0.50 to $12. This is an amazing opportunity to empower your student to choose, purchase, and give gifts to their loved ones!

The Leesburg Elementary School PTO is thrilled to host the Penguin Patch Holiday Shop next week from December 10-13! We can't wait for your students to experience the Joy of Giving this holiday season. Students will have the opportunity to select gifts for their loved ones, wrap them up and have them just in time for the holidays. Over 100 different types of gifts will be offered starting at 25 cents.

Your child will be coming home with a budget envelope this week that should be filled out and sent back to school on their designated shopping day. If you need information on your child's shopping date, please reach out to their teacher. Cash or a check (made out to Leesburg PTO) should be sent back in your child's budget envelope. You can write "Donate Change" on the envelope if you would like your child's change to go to our Penguin Patch Fund to assist student shoppers in need. You can also donate directly to that fund using this link.

While your child will be shopping during the school day with their class, please note that the shop will remain open after school until 3:30pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. You are welcome to bring your child back after school is over if you would like to shop with them.
