Happy last week of school Sabers!
Every day this year, we have had the opportunity to be kind, engaged, respectful, and responsible. I hope that every member of our school community has gotten a little bit better every day this year and maximized every moment we had.
Make it an excellent week, an awesome end of the school year, and a great summer!
With Saber Pride,
Mr. Vuolo

SENIOR GRAD WALKS
The end of the year is fast approaching and this is a very exciting time for our seniors. One of the culminating events that has become a tradition over the last few years are our Senior Grad Walks that take place at the elementary schools for students that grew up in Franklin. This is a special time for seniors to relive and capture some memories and visit with staff and students at the building. Our elementary students get almost JUST AS excited to see the seniors as the seniors do to see their old stomping grounds!
The dates and times of the Senior Grad Walks taking place on Wednesday, June 5th and Thursday, June 6th after finals are done have been communicated to students along with instructions for what to wear and bring. We will have a photographer on hand to capture photos and these will be shared after the walks and also linked up on our Graduation page of the Franklin High School website here. We share this with parents and family members so you know you will have access to photos that are taken. Graduates are only to attend the elementary school they attended as a student please.
On the afternoon of your Grad Walk, please meet by the main entrance at each building.
Wed 6/5 @ 1:30pm - Southwood Glen
Wed 6/5 @ 1:30pm - Ben Franklin
Thurs 6/6 @ 1:15pm - Country Dale
Thurs 6/6 @ 1:30pm - Pleasant View
Thurs 6/6 @ 2:30pm - Robinwood
We understand there may be some parents that want to come to the buildings to take their own photos. If the weather is nice, being outside to capture a few photos is perfectly acceptable. However, as part of the grad walk, students will be entering the building to meet and greet students in the main hallways. Parents, guardians and family members will not be allowed to enter the schools, even if inclement weather, as we have safety and visitor protocols to follow for those visiting the building during school hours when school is in session that will not be able to be completed on a large scale. We also want to remind students and parents that our elementary schools have very limited parking. Students attending the grad walks should please carpool where possible.
Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to helping your child celebrate these senior moments.
ELEMENTARY "GRAD WALK" PHOTO ALBUMS
Later this week, our seniors will visit their Franklin elementary buildings for "Grad Walks." All photos we take at these events are also housed on the Graduation page.

FPS FOOD SERVICE SWITCHING TO SCHOOLCAFE
Our FPS Food Service is making the switch this summer to a new system for families called SchoolCafe (or SchoolCafe Family Hub). This new system helps us create some better efficiencies behind-the-scenes, allows families to make payments into their child’s lunch account from the SchoolCafe app, and provides easy online viewing of menu options. This switch goes into effect on July 1st and any money in your current MySchoolBucks account will be moved to SchoolCafe. We will share more information with families as July 1st gets closer.
BACK-TO-SCHOOL ONLINE CHECK-IN OPENS TODAY
Our Back-To-School Online Check-in (BTSOC) for the 2024-25 school year is now open for all families! BTSOC asks parents and guardians to complete check-in activities such as updating your child(ren)’s emergency contacts, medical information, and transportation needs so we can verify they will be attending school with us for the fall and get everything ready for their return. Click here or on the associated image to view the details and to access the PARENT CHECKLIST that can help you plan for completing this process. Back-to-School Online Check-in needs to be completed between Monday, June 3rd and Wednesday, July 31st.
With Back-To-School Online Check-in open, our SCHOOL SUPPLY LISTS for next year are also being updated! The lists are linked online here but please note a few schools are still wrapping up their lists, including us, at FHS. Please look for 2024-25 in the supply lists to know if the list is updated or not.

IMMUNIZATION
Wisconsin law requires parents to provide updated records on their child’s immunizations including DTaP, Polio, Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella, and Meningococcal. Please note that there have been recent changes that impact incoming 7th and 12th grade students related to Meningococcal vaccination and Varicella immunity. Refer to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services website for the schedule of required immunizations.
Students must be in compliance with the required immunizations on the first day of school. Parents should make their child’s school aware of any recently received immunizations using the Wisconsin Immunization Record form. Step 4 of the form includes a waiver section for families who waive any immunizations. To meet compliance requirements either complete Wisconsin Immunization Record form in Step 5 OR complete waiver section in Step 4 and sign completed form in Step 5. The Wisconsin Immunization Record forms should be submitted to nurses@franklin.k12.wi.us prior to the first day of school.
Questions about the immunization schedule should be directed to the child’s physician or the Franklin Public Health Department.
