SEEKING FIELD DAY VOLUNTEERS

We are currently planning for Field Day, which is scheduled for Tuesday, May 28th. In an effort to prepare, we are seeking volunteers to help with setup, stations, etc. Please note that a FCPS volunteer background check is needed to participate.

*Please fill out this interest FORM no later than Friday, May 17th.

If you didn't order a yearbook and you wanted to, you can still grab a copy because we have some extras for sale for $15 each.

KSA

KSA (Kentucky Summative Assessment) continues THIS WEEK for 3rd & 4th grade students ONLY. It is important that students are in attendance, on time, and well rested. Please partner with us as we encourage our students to put forth their best effort. We are excited for an opportunity that will allow our scholars to showcase their knowledge.

IC ANNUAL UPDATE

This spring Fayette County Public Schools is introducing the Annual Update, a tool that allows you to verify and make needed corrections to your household information in Infinite Campus (IC).

Our goal is to:

Maintain current contact information for our students and their guardians
Help plan for the new school year
Improve efficiency and accuracy in updating important household information regularly
Help us stay connected with our families

It is VERY important that we have correct information in Infinite Campus for each scholar. For instructions, please follow the information found at this LINK. Please make any changes in Campus Parent by Friday, May 31.

If you do not have an account or you need a username reminder or a password reset, please visit our Campus Parent Support site.

*Currently, the Campus Parent module is available in English and Spanish. If you speak another language, we will provide resources and support this summer to assist you with this process.

FAMILY SURVEY UPDATE

To ensure that every Fayette County Public School is a welcoming place where all students can thrive, we are seeking feedback about the experiences our children and families have had during the 2023-24 school year.

On April 19, every parent or guardian should have received one email for each school where they have children enrolled with a link to take the survey for that specific campus. The easiest way to participate in the survey is to follow those links because they are already tied to individual schools. Depending on your inbox settings, the emails may have been sent to “junk” or “other” folders. Search for “2024 FCPS Family Survey” or noreply@qemailserver.com to find the email OR follow this link to the survey.

For surveys in multiple languages AND/OR a paper copy, please follow this link. Return it to your child's school by May 15. You may also drop it by the front desk at the John D. Price Administration Building, 450 Park Place, attn. Lisa Deffendall.

All responses are anonymous and confidential. The deadline is Wednesday, May 15.

Attendance Reminder (Repeat)

Your scholar's attendance is very important! When your scholar is not present, they miss important academic content, SEL lessons, related arts, time with their peers, all of which leads to their development and success. However, we understand that illnesses and other circumstances arise. If you scholar is absent, consider the following:

Please keep in mind that you have 3 days to send in a note/excuse in order for the absence to be excused.
You may use up to 10 parent notes.
Feel free to send in an excuse in your scholar's backpack OR send electronically to our attendance clerk, Kisha Jackson, at kisha.jackson@fayette.kyschools.us

Birthday Treats

Birthday treats are allowed following these expectations:

A single treat per scholar (e.g. granola bar, cupcake, cookie, etc.).
Treats MUST be PEANUT-FREE
NO ice cream or lunch items such as pizza, chips, etc. can be distributed.
Items must be dropped off in the front office.
Treats will be served after lunch, during the last 10 minutes of the day.

Volunteer Info

Fayette County Public Schools and GWC invites families to participate in our educational community! We need all kinds of volunteers to help make sure our students have an enriching experience in the classroom and beyond.
