Some thoughts for the starting school year
Principal's Point of View
Dear Remarkable Razorback Families,
As the crisp fall air begins to settle in, we’re embracing the season of growth, progress, and community here at Roberson Middle School. Last week, our 6th and 7th graders successfully completed TTAP testing, and we’re excited to dive into the results. This data will help us have meaningful conversations with our scholars to empower them to reach the growth goals they set earlier this year.
Progress reports for the 2nd quarter are now available. If your scholar struggled in any courses, this is a great opportunity to reset and refocus! Remember, students who did not pass a course are temporarily unable to participate in after-school activities until the next reporting period on December 6th. Please encourage your scholar to attend tutorials on their designated day—we’re here to support their success every step of the way. Thank you for partnering with us to prioritize academic excellence!
Looking ahead, after Thanksgiving break, scholars will take their middle-of-the-year district assessments. It’s essential for them to care for their issued Chromebooks so they’re ready for this important milestone. If your scholar needs repairs or a charger, please have them inform their teacher as soon as possible.
This week, we’re thrilled to showcase the incredible talents and hard work of our scholars! From our captivating dance performances to the campus GT Expo, we invite you to come out and see their projects, clubs, and passions in action. Plus, enjoy delicious offerings from food trucks and the opportunity to give back by donating blood in honor of one of our own Razorbacks.
Here’s to another amazing week of growth, learning, and connection at Roberson, where magic happens, and the impossible is possible!
With warm regards,
Cecelia Brumsey
Relentless Principal
