Let's Get Rolling, 2024 - 2025!
A Note From Mrs. Bowden
New Year, New Name!
Welcome Back! I hope your summer was enjoyable and restful. As we embark on a new school year, the staff is filled with excitement and anticipation for the incredible journey we will have this year. Together, we will continue to build a strong, supportive community where every child has the opportunity to thrive.
Thank you for an AMAZING Back-to-School Bash, it was great to see all of our families!
There is a lot of information, but all needed for the first day.
Let's make it a great year!
It's a great day to be a LION!
Pride Camp Change
Pride Camp will be Monday, August 19th. We hope that this time provides more community within the classroom during the first week back to school.
11th & 12th Grade Students
UNT Students
In regards to your daily schedule, please note that you may have received a schedule with an advisory period on it. Since advisory takes place before lunch this year, you will not be able to attend advisory at LPS. After your UNT courses end at 11:50am, you will just need to be at LPS by 1:12pm for 6th mod. Your advisory has been removed from your schedule so you will not be counted absent.
Since your courses at UNT do not begin until the 19th, you do not need to be on the LPS campus until 6th mod this coming week as well.
We look forward to seeing you Monday afternoon!
Collin Dual Credit Students
Collin College courses will begin on August 26th.
If you are enrolled in ENGL 1301, HIST 1301, EDUC 1300, or any online course, you will need to be on campus and in your assigned room each day this week and next even though your course will not begin until the 26th.
If you are enrolled in MATH 1314 on MW 8:00-9:15am on the Collin College campus this fall, you do not need to be on the LPS campus until 3rd mod (begins at 9:58am). The only day you will need to come in early is Monday, August 19th for Pride Camp. On Monday, August 19th you must be at LPS all day for Pride Camp beginning at 7:50am.
We look forward to seeing you Monday morning!

Middle School Assistant Principal
This is my 20th year in education. For the past six years I was a district testing coordinator. Prior to that I was a science teacher, special education teacher, and campus administrator.
I have a passion for kids, learning, and fostering inclusive spaces where students can grow and succeed.
I am very proud of my four wonderful children and I'm very excited to be bringing my youngest sons with me as we join the LPS family.
