It's December, and that means the weather forecast is getting colder! We do go out to recess most days so it is important that students have warm coats and shoes for outside. If your child is missing their coat, please have them check our lost and found! We have many student coats and hats just waiting to be claimed. We ask that you write your child's name in their coat, so it can be returned if left on the playground. Our lost and found is full, once again! Please make sure you're having your child checking for any missing items as it will be donated to a local charity over winter break!

Speaking of weather, please be sure to check our district website www.fpschools.org for news regarding late starts or snow days.

We have three weeks of school until winter break, but we are still working on important learning every day. Please be sure to check in with your child about what they should be practicing at home. Remember, all students should read for 20 minutes every day! Report cards will be going home on Friday, so your child's teacher may also comment on other areas where your child can practice.

In the event of emergencies, a team of Franklin Pierce Schools staff work to balance safety and our commitment to support student learning. The choice to delay or cancel the start of a school day includes assessing road conditions and consulting with other local services. Franklin Pierce Schools will attempt to offer updates about delays and closures by 5am.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

This is a reminder from the health room: if your student has borrowed any clothing this year, please ensure that it is returned with them. Our supply is limited, and we are running low on available clothing items.

Additionally, we kindly ask that you always send your student with an emergency pair of clothing in their backpack to help us preserve our supplies for urgent situations.

If you are interested in volunteering as a chaperone for field trips or in any other capacity that may come up, please complete the volunteer application as soon as possible. It may take up to two weeks to process an application and we don't want you to be left out of a volunteer opportunity because you are not approved yet! Click here to begin your volunteer application. Right at School will operate before and afterschool programs at all eight Franklin Pierce elementary schools! Right at School offers a safe environment for students to learn, to play, and to grow!
