Building Resilience is a Community Endeavor: Building Hope Through Peer Recovery will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025 at Brightpoint Community College Nicholas Center. CCPS Student Support Services will host a table of resources. This annual event involves many community agencies who offer services to youth and families. Please spread the word to your school communities!
Nominate an outstanding staff member for the Superintendent’s Game Changer Award
Each month, the superintendent recognizes outstanding staff members who go above and beyond. Game Changers are those who step up to meet the needs of students; offer support and access to resources that assist their colleagues; provide an extra layer of support for families outside of the classroom; and who generally make a positive and sometimes life-changing difference in the lives of our students, families and their colleagues. Our very own Mr. Costantino was selected as someone who is changing the game for the month of January!
Each month, the superintendent chooses four staff members from each magisterial district to be recognized for outstanding service. One central office member monthly will be recognized as well.
Want to recognize a game changer in your life? Complete the nomination form. (Please know that your comments may be shared publicly as the recognition occurs.)
Nominations are due by the 21st of each month.
Registration open for Chesterfield Virtual School
For families interested in an alternative to the traditional school setting, registration for the Chesterfield Virtual School opened Feb. 3 and continues through April 25. The virtual school is available for students in grades K-8 and abides by all Standards of Quality and accreditation requirements that apply to Chesterfield County Public Schools.
The Chesterfield Virtual School offers gifted instruction, honors classes, special education and English as a second language, while after-school clubs offer additional connections for students. Find more information and register here.
Pupil Transportation Art Contest
The Virginia Association for Pupil Transportation invites public school students to compete in a poster contest with the theme “Safely Rolling to My Destination.” The submission deadline is April 18, and details are available here.

Solving Problems Together
Everyone within CCPS works to support students and help them grow into strong young people. When there is a problem, we want to connect with students and families to solve it. As we enter week two of the 2024-2025 school year, we want to be sure that families know what to do if you have a concern. Communicating to school staff members is the best way to start. Here is a handy chart to help the problem-solving process
