Principal Update
Dear Rose Families,
To end the month of January, we had joyful celebrations in our Chinese Immersion classes as they honored the Lunar New Year! Students engaged in meaningful activities, shared traditions, and deepened their cultural understanding. It was a wonderful experience that highlighted the diversity and inclusivity that make Rose such a special place.
Looking forward to the month of February, we are focusing on Honesty, which means being truthful in what we say and do. When we practice honesty, we build stronger relationships and create a sense of trust with those around us. It also helps reduce stress and allows us to be our authentic selves. Let’s encourage our students to reflect on the importance of honesty in their daily interactions—both in and out of the classroom.
Thank you for your continued support in fostering a positive and welcoming learning environment!
Warm Regards,
Dr. Ruesch
PTO Parents Night Out Event
We're excited to see many of you tomorrow night for our PTO Parents' Night Out fundraiser! It’s sure to be a fantastic evening in support of our school.
I would like to give a special thank you to the events Platinum Sponsors: Enclave of South Barrington and MAPS–Center for Pain Control for their generous support of this event.
Looking forward to a great night together!
Valentine's Day Guidance
As we approach Valentine’s Day, we are excited to celebrate with our students! If your child would like to bring in Valentine’s cards and/or treats to share, please use the following guidelines:
- All items must be peanut and tree nut free to ensure the safety of all our students with allergies.
- Please bring enough for the whole class so everyone can participate and feel included.
- No eating of treats at school – Teachers will remind students to bring all treats home so that families can decide what is okay to eat.
Thank you for helping us make this a fun and safe celebration for everyone!
Soul Harbor Event
Soul Harbor is a really great organization that supports our students here at Rose. Monthly, select students are able to spend some time reading time with a therapy dog. They are hosting a event for Valentine's Day.
Technology Support
Do you have questions about your child's iPad, technology fees or about digital citizenship? See the presentation to the PTO from last Friday. You can always contact our Library Technology Associate (LTA) with any of these questions as well. Her contact information is below:
