January 13th, 2025

January 15th - Section 41 applications DUE in NexSys (application must be in "Submitted" status to be considered for funding, not "in progress")
January 17th - WIDA Test Exceptions and False EL DUE in OEAA Secure Site
January 31st - all potentially eligible K students must be tested with R & W domains on the K Screener, enter as EL and assign to WIDA Access if they qualify
February 13th - amendments to Consolidated Application DUE in NexSys (Title III & Title III Immigrant)

NEW Update for iPads - tech coordinators need to apply an update to any iPads being used for WIDA or other state testing to allow for cross-website tracking - see page 7 of the Spotlight
Jan 23rd - WIDA materials arrive in districts

How to see new student's assessment scores in OEAA
District and Building testing coordinators need to take MDE's 24-25 assessment security trainings, test administrators need to either take the modules or review the Assessment Integrity Guide - this is in addition to WIDA Access and Alternate Access training requirements

PSAT / SAT - state-allowed accommodations window is open in SSD (math only version for students within their first year of US school, non-reportable score)
Jan 15th - SSD and Accommodations webinar, click to register
Feb 18th - deadline to apply for college board approved accommodations in SSD
NEW - students with extended time for testing no longer have to sit through the entire time if they are finished - they must sit through the regular testing time but do not have to sit through the extended time
