Friendly Friday Update

Please set a time for your student to complete homework each night that is consistent and allows you to view what they are working on. We give students time in class to complete every assignment, which will minimize homework and enable students to ask questions with their teacher present. If you or your student are experiencing an excessive amount of homework, please connect with the classroom teacher. Teachers work together to make sure major projects, tests, or other important assignments are spread out over the course of the quarter. We know that our students are busy and have a lot of things going on outside of the school day, but we want our students to be prepared and have their assignments completed on a regular basis.

As a reminder, students should charge their iPads every night and bring them to school every day.

Students in 5th and 6th Grade are encouraged to join the Middle School Dance Team! This team is a fun, non-competitive team and is a great way for dancers to get a better understanding of what a dance team is like and how they can grow in the sport as time goes on.

Registration opens Monday, September 16th! Students must have an athletic physical on file in the main office and then register through EduTrak. The team fee is payable through Square.

LiveGreen is the district's sustainability program that promotes energy saving, recycling, and other green initiatives. Join the Friendly Hills LiveGreen team to take part in recycling challenges and raise awareness about conserving resources. Check out the flyer for more information!

The Math Team is having an informational meeting on Monday, September 16th. Math Team is open to all students in grades 5-8 and is a great way to showcase your math skills, build teamwork, and have fun! Students interested in learning more should attend the meeting in Mrs. Rasmussen's room, 122 (Lower Green), on Monday 9/16 at 3:30 p.m.

Join us for the first district-wide event of the school year—the Warrior Rally! This free event is for School District 197 families to explore Two Rivers clubs and activities, enjoy games, bounce houses, and food trucks! All ages are welcome, especially our younger students!
