On May 17th the students will be having their spring concert. The concert times are as follows:

Kindergarten: 12:45-1:15

First Grade: 1:30-2:00

Second Grade: 2:15-2:45

As we did for our winter concert, permission slips have been sent home with your child. Please take the time to fill out and return the form.

Dismissal after the concert will be handled similarly to our winter concert. When you exit the gym, you will line up, and a staff member will collect your child's dismissal number. Your student will then be walked out to you. If you did not return the permission slip or a note, you will need to come to the office window for dismissal.

With the warm weather here we know how much kids want to start wearing sandals, but please make sure your child has closed toed shoes for playing on the playground.

Slides, flip flops, crocs and open back sandals should not be worn when climbing on the playscape or playing soccer in the field. In the recent weeks we have had a number of injuries due to inappropriate shoes. So before your child leaves in the morning, please make sure they are wearing playground safe shoes.

Also with the warm weather, children will be spending more time outdoors. Here are a few things that you can do to help protect them:

• Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen with a sunburn protection factor (SPF) of 30 or higher to all exposed skin at home. Please do not send sunscreen to school with your child. We are not allowed to apply it.
• Have your child bring a wide brimmed hat and/or sunglasses. Hats and sunglasses are permitted to wear outdoors. (Please make sure they are LABELED)

Let's celebrate!! Join us at Woodland School on May 23 between 5:30-7:00 for a fun night playing math and literacy games for PK-6th. Screenings are coming up! May 30th and 31st we will have our spring Kindergarten screenings. If you or someone you know has a child that will be turning 5 on or before September 1st have them reach out to the main office and they can help assist them with the enrollment/screening process. You can find our enrollment packet by clicking on the picture below! Please note that there will be no Kindergarten on those days.
