Thank you to everyone that sold items for our West Godwin Fundraiser! Items will be delivered on Wednesday, November 20 between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Please make a plan to stop by school that day to pick up any items that were sold. We appreciate your support!

Please note that there is a 2:00 p.m. dismissal this week on Wednesday, November 20th. Also, there is no school on Wednesday, November 27th through Friday, November 29th.

Save the date for West Godwin's Holiday Program. Students will be performing some holiday songs for you on Wednesday, December 18th at 6:00 p.m. at the Godwin Heights High School Auditorium. More information will be coming, but please put the date on your calendar now!

We would LOVE to have more parents following us on our Facebook page! We post lots of great information and fun pictures of the kids. We'll be watching for new likes, and the 20th PARENT to like our Facebook page in the next few weeks will win a $25 gift card!

We are so excited to start a new project this year with our Godwin families and gather and share recipes!

We hope to receive recipes from our students, families, teachers, staff, community members and any one else that feels connected to our incredible district! We are excited to highlight the uniqueness and diversity that spans across our district and what better way to share than food!

It's that time of year again! As we head into colder days, please be sure to dress your child appropriately for the weather! Students go outside daily if the temperature is above 16 degrees and the wind chill is above zero.

Winter clothing to stay warm:

• Coat
• Hat
• Gloves
• Snow Boots
• Snow Pants
• Scarf

Please contact the school and ask for Sarah Schantz if your child is in need of winter gear.

If your child will be absent or tardy, please call the office at 252-2030 to have the absence excused.

If your child will not be riding the bus home, please call the office by 2:30 pm so we are able to accommodate the change.

Drop-Off -Students can be dropped off in the rear lot off of 36th street between 8:15 am and 8:30 am. Staff will call you forward to the flag and open the door for your student.

For safety, we ask that you and your student remain in your vehicle until staff directs you to the drop-off area. Please have your child’s coat on and additional items ready prior to pulling into the drop-off zone.

Pick-Up- Students can be picked up in the rear lot off 36th street between 3:15 pm & 3:30 pm. Please remember to have your student information sign in your window.

Please pay close attention to security officers and staff directing traffic daily. For safety please follow directions of staff during pick-up and drop-off and practice slow speeds through the student drop-off pick-up zone.

Please observe the Right Turn Only Sign as you exit the parking lot. Attempts to turn left have resulted in some extremely close calls when entering traffic on 36th street.
