The Eagles Nest
Week of May 6, 2024
Happy Sunday Families!
Thank you to all of our families that donated to our Apex Fundraiser! This is our one and only big fundraiser for the year. The money we raised will go toward PBIS, student incentives, and campus beautification.
Our fifth graders attended middle school orientation on Friday. Some students received an information sheet that needs to be returned to school. Please make sure these are returned to Mrs. Berry by the deadline.
On Thursday of this week, we will be having the first Clyde Erwin dance recital at Northside High School Auditorium. Mrs. Murray has been sending home information with students and posting information via DOJO. If you plan on your child participating, please make sure you return their permission slip by Monday. All dancers and families should arrive to Northside High School by 6pm. This will give dancers a chance to warm up. Students are to wear all BLACK. Dancers with long hair should have their hair pulled away from their face and their is NO makeup needed. All dancers should come dressed and ready. Parents will not be allowed backstage. If you have agreed for your child to participate, they will need to stay until ALL performances are over. We ask that families remain seated during the performance. There will be time for pictures.
This week is Teacher and Staff Appreciation! Please help us show our teachers how much they are loved by sending in sweet notes and other tokens of appreciation throughout the week. We will be doing something special for them each day. If you would like to help celebrate our teachers this week, you can make a cash sponsorship by using the online cash program.
As we start to close out the end of the year, we will be collecting information from all stakeholders to help us to make plans for the 24-25 school year. This week students in grades 3-5 will be taking a student survey. We are also asking our families complete a spring survey. Please click on the link below for the survey.

Looking ahead, we are starting the end of year close out process. Please make sure if your child has a library book they return it to Mrs. Joy this week. Also, students will start taking end of year assessments this week. Make sure they come to school on time and well rested. We want our champions to be able to do their best. Please continue to cheer them on at home and encourage them to reach their weekly iReady goal. We have many activities planned up to June 11. Take a look at all the important dates posted on the bottom of the SMORE.
