Notes from East Hill Elementary
November 8, 2024
Message from the East Hill Principal
Hello East Hill Families!
Wow, we had another wonderful week! We had a half day of school on Tuesday that included our first EH Turkey Trot! Many staff members suited up in blow up costumes and ran in a race to claim the trophy! Congratulations to Mrs. Shewchuk for winning and thank you to everyone that participated, all of our students that cheered us on, and Ms. O'Keefe for organizing such a fun event! After the race we went into the gym for an assembly to kick off our season of giving with special guest, Food Bank of CNY Director, Heidi Soine, along with, our PTA Co-Presidents, Mrs. Maule and Mrs. Maxwell, Ms. O'Keefe, and Mrs. Holzwarth (dressed as a cow) to show students what we are collecting for the month of November for the Food Bank and our community. The bins are already full!
Just a quick reminder that there is no school on Monday, November 11 in observance of Veteran's Day. Thank you to all of the members of our school community that have served or are currently serving our country!
Warm regards,
Susan Meskos

Paige's Pajamarama throughout the District
On Wednesday, November 15, students in the West Genesee School District are invited to wear their pajamas to school in support of Paige's Butterfly Run, helping kids in the fight against cancer.
For a donation of just $1 or spare change, students can participate and contribute to pediatric cancer research and patient programs at Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital. Letβs come together in our comfy PJs for a great cause! (All donations will be accepted at your child's school or through the QR code on the flyer.)
Congrats to the New Safety Patrol Squad!
π News from our Librarian π
