Superintendent Reeves visited Mrs. Kupres' class to read "The Polar Express." Afterwards, students did a character map of the boy, focusing on his character traits!

SADD hosted a de-stress session on Monday, December 16th. Students decorated cookies during PRIDE as a way to relax during this busy holiday season.

High school dance students went to DeVos Performance Hall to see the Grand Rapids Ballet Company perform Act 1 of The Nutcracker on Tuesday, December 17th.

RTI Coach, Aggie Kurzman, is working with Y5 students on making their letters. We love creative teaching methods!

Our District has been filled with Carolers this week! Pictured are performances at a local nursing home and the Administration office by our Middle School Choir, a performance at Dorr Elementary by our High School Choir, and an impromptu performance by Pine Street Students during recess.

Hot Rods Motorcycle Awareness and Suicide Prevention filled decorative boots for 25 students at Dorr Elementary. They included holiday treats, toys, and some coloring books. A large 'holiday crew' came to deliver the special surprise: Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, two Elves, the Grinch, Olaf, a snowman, and a reindeer! We are so grateful for our community's generous spirit in helping our students and their families celebrate the holidays.

April Dare, a 4th grade teacher at Pine Street, gifted both of her classes (49 students!) with matching hats, gloves and scarves that were hand-knit by her mom, Rita Korby. What a special gift!

The holiday season brings lots of opportunities to shop. These two students got the chance to shop with a cop! The Michigan State Police Department teamed up with Dorr Elementary to pick two students to enjoy a day of fun. The students got to have lunch, and then go shopping at Meijer for their family and loved ones. Their presents were even wrapped for them! We are grateful for this collaboration as the students return with a big smile on their face!

High School students had the opportunity to learn a dance combo from Broadway actor Brian Martin on Friday, December 20th!
