Lincoln Lions Family Newsletter
October 6, 2024
Dear Lincoln Families,
Conferences are this week! Monday 3:30-7:30 p.m., and Thursday 11:30-7:30 p.m.
We are so excited to meet with 100% of families! Families and Schools working together is so important for the success of all of our students. Our goal is to connect with at least 1 family member for every student at Lincoln. All families should have a conference scheduled by now. If you are unable to meet in person, let your child's teacher know and they can do a phone or virtual conference. If for some reason you aren't able to make it these days, we will continue to reach out until we can connect with all of our families. Thank you so much for all that you do to support your child's learning journey!
Thank you for your support during conference week! Remember the following important dates this week:
- October 9th--NO PEEP
- October 10th--HALF DAY
- October 11th--HALF DAY
Last Friday, we held a school-wide assembly honoring Mr. Aaryn Wilson to celebrate his legacy here at Lincoln and his new job at Maple Street Magent School for the Arts! We are grateful for his 15 years of service to the Lincoln staff, students, and families and wish him well on his new adventure at the middle school. WE WILL MISS YOU, Mr. Wilson! Congratulations!
Respectfully,
Principal D. Roberts

Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening at Home
It is important that we give our children plenty of opportunities to engage in speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities. Here is an activity you can do with your child at home this week.
1. LISTEN to the read-aloud, The Leaf Thief by clicking the Youtube video below.
2. Ask your child to TALK to you about what squirrel learned about the leaves and the other changes that happen during autumn (fall).
3. WRITE or DRAW about the changes they observe happening as the season changes.

We look forward to seeing you there! You won't want to miss this exciting night at Open Library.
