Enadia Way Technology Charter, 10/01/24
Meet Enadia's Chickens!
Buff Orpingtons
Flora, Fauna and Fern (4 months old) are free-ranging in the school garden during the day. They should start laying eggs pretty soon!
The Other 12 (9 weeks old)
The other 12 are kept separate from the Buff Orpingtons until they get a little bigger and can be introduced. Eventually they will be one large flock and will eat, sleep and free-range together.... I hope!
Lunch from the Cafeteria
Our chickens love the fresh fruit and veggies from the cafeteria that the kids won't eat!
Save the Date: Annual Fall Dance, 10/25
We are so excited about the upcoming fall dance! The fall dance is open to Enadia families UTK-5th grade. This tradition is a wonderful way to socialize and meet other Enadia families and staff. Please purchase your tickets now as we always sell out!
CHOICES Window is Open!
Parents, if you have a child coming to UTK or going to middle school next August, don't miss this lunch time workshop! Unless you apply through CHOICES now you will be left on a waiting list for your school of choice. Enadia Way and Hale MS always have waitlists for the people who missed the CHOICES window.
After School Tutoring and Intervention at Enadia
Enadia is very pleased to be able to offer so much support to students who need extra support. We offer during the day ELA intervention with Mrs. Gonzalez-Rubio on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Mrs. G-R is working on phonemic awareness with students struggling to read and reader's theatre for fluency practice with 4th and 5th graders. Starting 10/7, we will also be starting EB (Emergent Bilingual) after school tutoring to select students who need ELA support to reclassify as fluent in English. Also starting 10/7, we are starting math afterschool and push-in tutoring three days a week with a District-funded vendor called Thrive. If your child has been invited to attend intervention and/or tutoring, please attend Mrs. Wright's informational Zoom to find out more about the programs.
