The Savage Life!

A quick snapshot of a fun learning activity that Aeronautics students did this week! The Magnus effect is the concept of rotating cylinders to create lift and drag based on a convex shape creating a low pressure area. These cups connected back to back create a Magnus Effect plane by using rubber bands to spin the cups making them fly!

Our MATC Student of the Week is Mr. Caleb Dixon. Caleb is a Junior student at Wynnewood High School who is attending the Therapeutic Health Career Program at MATC. Through the program, Caleb will be certified in CPR/AED. He is attending MATC because he wants to be a physical therapist and thought that this would give him a head start. His favorite things about attending MATC are his classmates, his teacher and having the opportunity to wrap wrists and ankles. After graduation, Caleb’s plans are to become a physical therapist.

We are looking for talented students to join our cast on December 5th. If you and your friends would like to show off your skills whether it is singing, dancing, playing an instrument, performing a skit, or showcasing whatever talent you have; pick up an order form in the office. All entries must be received by November 1st. It’s going to be a lot of fun!
