This week's announcements:
Speaking of JupiterGrades, the ADVISORY CONTEST has been extended to this week! Parents can now help their student's Advisory class by submitting a photo themselves on this form. See details below in the infographic to turn on text notifications. Students please help your parents win your Advisory class an Ice Cream party, as they may not know the name of your Advisory teacher and that is a question on the form.
Did you know that our school has received funding for the Arts through Proposition 28? I would like your input in how the funding should be spent. The survey was sent to staff, parents and students earlier this week. Please fill out the Prop 28 Survey if you haven't already.
This week the counselors will be making presentations to the 7th graders on Wednesday and Friday through the World Cultures classes on "Education Essentials".
This Friday we will have our Fall Sports Season Opener Assembly during Advisory! Students who complete one Achieve3000 article of their choosing and score a 75% between now and Thursday will be eligible to come to the assembly. So, get reading on Achieve!
Continuing announcements:
- A reminder that NO CELL PHONES or earbuds / headphones should be visible on campus. They should be turned off and put in backpacks. We found cell phones to be the cause of many conflicts due to social media. Parents, please support us with this. Do not contact your child through the cell phone during the day. Parents can always call the main office to relay a message to your student. Phones should not be on during CLUB TC and shouldn't be in sight until students are off-campus.
- Parents can register their students for Club TC on the school website or through the QR code below. The Club TC office is in Room 215, close to the white G street gate. Those arriving early must enter through the gate. After school dismissal is also through the white G street gate. Once students exit the Auditorium gate at 3:10 pm they are not allowed to enter back for Club TC.
Please feel free to contact myself or Assistant Principal
Mr. Kevin.Willard@sweetwaterschools.org with any questions.
