Project MORE April Update

Noticias from Mr. Macias π€
Dear Parents,
As we enter the final stretch of the school year, the next 30 days are critical for your child's success. With ACT testing upon us, regular school attendance, completing classwork, and staying focused on graduation, these weeks will play a key role in shaping their academic future.
For our seniors, this is a pivotal moment as they approach the finish line. Every class, every assignment, and every effort counts. Encourage your child to stay committed, seek support when needed, and keep their eyes on the prize.
For all students, these final weeks are an opportunity to finish strong, gain momentum for future success, and build the habits of perseverance that will carry them through to graduation and beyond.
Together, we can help guide our students to success. Thank you for your continued support, and let's make these last 30 days count!
Best,
Israel Macias-Reyes
Principal, Project MORE

Students had to brainstorm and work together.

We celebrated accomplishments of last quarter with an awards ceremony. Students got certificates and candy for attendance, academics, and some students were nominated for their awesome citizenship as a Project MORE Tiger with a Tiger Award!

Tip of the Month π‘
What's beneficial about moderate adversity? The "practice" of encountering it builds the emotional muscle we call resilience, the ability to bounce back after slipping into one of life's potholes. Parents everywhere want their kids to develop resilience, but there's evidence that young people today are less resilient than ever.
