Bronco TB Day
On September 24th, eight of our high school choir members went to Western Michigan University for their first Bronco TB (Tenor Bass) Day. These students spent the entire day singing with 150 other tenors and basses from the university and other high schools. The famous Choral Group, Cantus, performed and led parts of the rehearsals. The day ended with a concert featuring Cantus. This event was such an amazing experience for our students!
Soccer Stadium Ribbon Cutting
It's official, the ribbon has been cut! Wayland Union Schools held the official ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, October 2nd. A big THANK YOU goes to our community and our partnership with the Gun Lake Casino Revenue Sharing Program; this improvement would not have been possible without your support.
Mystery Science Lessons
On October 2nd, students in Mrs. Nykerk's classroom got to participate in a fun Mystery Science Lab. In the lesson, students investigated which kinds of birds are likely to visit a bird feeder based on what they eat. In the activity, Design a Bird Feeder, students drew their own bird feeder design to attract a specific type of bird, and then they built a prototype of their bird feeder using available materials. Such a creative lesson!
