Minute to Win It
We have a lot of fun celebrating being respectful, responsible, and ready. Students chosen got to compete in fun games in front of a roaring crowd.
We had a Chiefs celebration day. We invited all staff and students to wear Chiefs attire. It was a lot of fun. Must be a big game this weekend.
Staff Highlight
Kelsey Lyhane is in her first year of teaching at MES. She is teaching 4th grade. She is a veteran teacher and has 8 years experience at 2nd, kindergarten and pre-k. Kelsey is a dedicated teacher and has done a great job of creating relationships with students and staff. Kelsey enjoys her classroom and says she most likes that everyday is something different. Thank you Kelsey for joining our team and making MES a better place.
Michelle Pieschl teaches 2nd grade at MES. She has been at MES for 23 years. During that time she has also taught 3rd and 4th grades. She has taught for a total of 31 years. Michelle enjoys her students and loves to see them grow and succeed. She is positive and inviting to her students. Thank you Michelle for making MES a great place to learn.
Alisha Keenan is new to MES and our community. She joined our team back in August, and we are very happy to have her. She is our library aide and helps students in the library. She is very friendly and always has a pleasant and welcoming smile. She has built relationships with students and staff. She enjoys working with students and helping them learn. Thank you Alisha for making MES better.

Spelling Bee
The top three MES Spellers are Molly Johnson, Charlie Ring, and Isaiah Wright. Isaiah is our third place finisher while Molly and Charlie will battle it out on Monday for 1st place. These three will represent MES in the Marshall County Spelling Bee on Feb 7, 2024.
