NWEA MAP Growth Assessments
Dear Parents/Guardians:
Naperville Community Unit School District 203 will administer the NWEA MAP Growth reading and mathematics assessments in August/September, January, and May for students in grades K-8. These assessments measure academic performance and growth, aligning with Illinois Learning Standards.
Students will take these adaptive tests in their homeroom (elementary) or reading/math classrooms (junior high) using iPads (K-1) or Chromebooks (2-8). Results provide insights into student learning and help guide instructional planning and differentiation.
Important for Gifted Program Identification
January results are part of the identification process for enriched and gifted program placement (grades 3-7) for the 2025-2026 school year. Learn more at naperville203.org/Page/5308.
Individual student reports will be shared after each testing period. For further details, visit the NWEA Parent Toolkit or contact your school principal with questions.

Assistant Superintendent for Assessment and Accountability
