From the Principal's Desk
Hello Rose Pioneer Families,
It's hard to believe that today marks the end of the first trimester, which means we are 1/3 of the way through this school year! You can find the schedule below, but please be reminded that 1st trimester report cards will be available in Skyward Family Access on 12/6/24. After logging in on 12/6, go to the left side of the screen to the “Home” section, scroll down, click on “Portfolio” and you will be able to view all current and previous report cards. Please contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions about his or her report card, or the main office if you need additional information regarding how to access Skyward Family Access.
Please read below and check your child's backpack for information regarding Santa Shop, which is coming up December 10 - 13th at Rose Pioneer. Teachers will send home another reminder as Santa Shop approaches, but please be sure to fill out and return the information on the back of the letter we sent home. If you would like to assist with Santa Shop, please contact the office with your name and phone number and a Pioneer Parents PTO volunteer will contact you. Pioneer Parents is also in need of wrapping paper, ribbon, tissue paper and gift bags. Any of these items (don't need to be brand new) can be donated to the main office prior to Santa Shop.
Please help our Student Leadership Team with their Food Drive to benefit local families this holiday season. The information can found below and we are very proud of our students for this important service learning opportunity that will directly benefit our community.
We are also very proud of our Y5 & Kindergarten students who taught us all about the Leader In Me 7 Habits at today's LEAD Assembly! Equally impressive was the long list of students who received Kindness Awards and M-Step awards for outstanding academic achievement. Go Bronchos!
Volunteer Background Check forms are available in the main office. We value your partnership and love parent volunteers at Rose Pioneer, but we must have a form filled out each year for each of our volunteers and chaperones. Filling one out is fast and free and allows parents to get involved as opportunities come up.
If you aren't already connected, please like Rose Pioneer Elementary School on Facebook and @RosePioneerEl on Twitter.
Thank you for reading and have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Michael Beattie

Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind
Beginning with the end in mind means having a plan. This includes having a clearly defined vision and purpose. One way to work on this habit is to set long term goals. By committing to a goal and monitoring your progress, you are working toward greatness. Be sure to ask your child about the learning and/or behavior goals they set at school. To learn more about Habit 2, see the link below.
