Our district is committed to ensuring all students feel safe and supported at school. As part of this commitment, we are sharing our Board Policy: Response to Immigration Enforcement to keep our community informed about our practices. Here are some additional resources from the California Attorney General’s Office regarding your educational rights.
No school on Monday, January 27th
There will be no school on Monday, January 27th, due to a Professional Learning Day. Please make appropriate accommodations, and enjoy your day off, students! We look forward to seeing you back in class on Tuesday.
LCAP Survey Reminder
This is a friendly reminder to complete the Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) Survey for Families. Your input is invaluable in helping our district better understand your experiences with OUSD. The information gathered will be shared with our LCAP committee and used to provide recommendations to the Board of Education to address the needs of our community. The survey will remain open until January 31, 2025. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback!

Cash for College Event 01/25/2025
For those wishing to apply for an intradistrict transfer for the 2025-2026 school year, open enrollment will begin on December 9th, 2024, and run through 3:30 P.M. on February 28th, 2025. An intradistrict transfer application is used to request to attend a different school in OUSD other than your school of residence.
If you are currently on an intradistrict transfer and your child will be attending the same school next year, you do not need to reapply. Students entering transitional kindergarten, 6th and 9th grade, must apply or reapply for an intradistrict transfer if they wish to attend any school other than their school of residence.
Applications for Intradistrict Transfer will be available beginning December 9, to complete electronically on the district website. Paper applications are available by request only at the ESS office. All applications are viewed based on priority criteria and school capacity. Applications are not viewed nor are decisions made based on when or in what order the application was received. The same consideration is given to all applications turned in between December 9th 2024 and February 28th 2025.
Applications are available at the Educational Support Services Office at 2080 Mission Avenue. For more information, please call (760) 966-7849 or (760) 966-7860
Report Card Distribution Update
Oceanside Unified School District Completes Transition to Digital Progress Reports and Report Cards
We’re excited to share that the transition to electronic progress reports and report cards was a success! Parents and guardians can now conveniently access their child’s grades through the Aeries Parent Portal.
This change offers several benefits, including:
- Faster access to grades and progress.
- Reduced paper waste, supporting sustainability.
- A more efficient and convenient way for families to stay informed.
To support families with this transition, we’ve created helpful instructional videos on navigating the Aeries Parent Portal and accessing report cards. Visit bit.ly/ousdparentportal or the district website under the Information Technology Services page to view these resources.
For families who prefer a paper copy, your school’s front office can print one upon request.
