A Note from Mrs. Satkoski.....
As the weather gets nicer, remember we like to get the students out daily for recess. Keeping a jacket or hoodie in their backpack is helpful as our spring weather seems to be pretty moody around here, swinging the temperatures from cold to chilly to warm daily. Sometimes this happens indoors with temperature fluctuations, so it is helpful for varying classroom temps, too!
Please be sure to check out the dates for testing below. Unless your child is sick, please have them here on time and ready to go for testing. If you have to schedule an appointment during the day, please attempt to schedule them around testing as make-ups are difficult and cause your child to miss instruction time. A letter was sent to 2nd and 3rd grade parents about the importance of IREAD, especially with new state laws. Thank you for your help!
Mentor Mii Volunteers
Dear Grant Line Families,
We are looking for adults to mentor our students at Grant Line. If you are a Mom, Dad, Aunt, Uncle, Grandma, Grandpa, or Cousin, we are looking for you. Mentors meet with students once a week for 30 minutes to connect and offer encouragement. We appreciate you and respect your valuable time. We are willing to work with you and your schedule as to when you visit with the student. You can come at 7:45 am before you go to work or anytime during the day. Mentors must pass a limited criminal history check and will be provided with a brief training. If you or someone you know are interested in this life changing opportunity, please contact Lisa McCory at 812-542-5707. Thank you for your valuable time in this important matter! It is caring people like you who make a difference in the lives of our children.
I wish you well,
Lisa McCory, Counselor
