RCE Comet Parent Update
October 2024 Edition
From Your Principal
Hello parents!
Here we are in October. We have been so happy to see our students progress in academics and social skills. If you have not had your parent teacher conference, please reach out to your child’s teacher to get that scheduled. We look forward to many fun activities in the weeks to come including Red Ribbon Week and Spooky Science Night. Look for information below. I hope everyone enjoys a fantastic fall break, and I look forward to seeing all the smiling faces in a week.
RCE Beanstack Reading Challenge Ends October 11
In My Reading Era challenges students to read 600 minutes by October 11. All students need to do is simply log into Beanstack and record their minutes. Most students are already asked to read for 30 minutes nightly. Students who complete the challenge will get a special prize at the end. Beanstack can be found in Classlink. See instructions below on how your child can access Classlink. Reach out to our media specialist, Lisa Christian lchristian@newcaneyisd.org if you have any questions.
