Wildcat Press Newsletter
Volume 3, Issue 12 ~ December 11, 2022
Hello Pride,
Let me start with a thank you for all the hard work that has been put in this semester. We are in the final few days, just this week and finals on Dec. 19 & 20 left. I hope we are all putting in the time to finish strong. Parents please know that in core academic courses, Math, English, Science and Social Studies, all students will have a cumulative final exam. Encourage them to spend some time studying and reviewing this week. These exams help us to determine our next steps as we continue to try and improve our curriculum and instructional practices.
As we close out this semester and since this will be the last Wildcat Press of 2022, let me wish all of you the happiest of holidays and an exciting new year. When we reflect on 2022, we will find some great successes and some areas in which we would like another chance. We cannot fix the mistakes of our past, we have to look forward and make the most of our new opportunities. Please take the time to look for the new doors that are opening for you and step into them with excitement, courage and tenacity. If each of us strives to make 2023 better for ourselves and better for our community, this should be the best year ever.
If you have not already done so, I encourage you to make a tax credit donation to Mesquite High School. You can donate to the general account or you can focus it on an activity in which your student participates. Go to https://www.gilbertschools.net/taxcredit to find out more information and donate. The Beauty of this is that it lets you put your tax dollars into your school! You get every dollar back in your refund, or a full credit if you owe.
Have a great break and the happiest of holidays and we'll see you in 2023, The year of the Wildcat!
