PACK Guardians and Students,

HOT DOG SUPPER!!!! - This upcoming Friday is our biggest community event of the YEAR and we need volunteers! Here is the signup genius for helping. We will be slinging hot dogs, enjoying student performances, and have lots of games/fun activities for middle schoolers from 5-7pm at the Hubbard courtyard and cafeteria. This is a free event to attend, but student wristbands to participate in the games are $10 via the PTA Website. They can be purchased at the door with cash. You won't want to miss it! Here is the official agenda of student performances and employee dunking booth participants.

• Entry is free

• K-8th grade students can enjoy unlimited activities with a $10 wristband

• Hot Dogs, ChickFilA sandwiches, chips, drinks & candy will be available for purchase

• Spirit Gear, including the 1964-2024 *60 Year Commemorative Shirt* will be for sale

• Raffle Tickets will also be for sale for 3 awesome gift baskets!

PARKING - The Burns Commercial property to the north and northwest of Hubbard is not intended for student pick up/drop off. The property managers have began handing out flyers to communicate to parents and have posted signs (pic below). Please do not use this for parent pick up. Once we have the bus lanes finished at Hubbard in the upcoming month, traffic flow will get even easier. Students should not loiter that property to be picked up later in the day, they can remain at the front of Hubbard as long as needed.

Basketball at Hubbard - There is a boys basketball parent meeting on Monday, November 4th at 5;30pm in the cafeteria. Now that volleyball season is over, we are excited about the upcoming basketball season. Campus administration and coaches are implementing a new policy at Hubbard that students are not allowed into the games unless accompanied by a guardian. Students who stay after school will not be allowed to enter the game until an adult has arrived.

Are you registered to VOTE? - I am inspiring all adults to double check their registration status and make sure they vote in the upcoming presidential election.

Leaving Early - If you are picking your child up early from school please do so by 3:15 p.m. We do not allow students to be checked out after 3:15 p.m. since this could hamper our dismissal procedures and ability to retrieve multiple students before the bell. The front office is closed between 3:15 and 3:45 p.m.

Husky Choir

We had 23 students audition for Region on Saturday. There were over 500 students there to audition and competition was stiff, but the Hubbard PACK led with 9 students qualifying!

Swim Meet Results

Connor Bundy finished 3rd in the 100 IM

Lillian Edwards finished 3rd in the 50 Butterfly

Sage Madison finished 1st in the 50 Butterfly and 2nd in the 100 Freestyle.

Girls 100 Medley Relay with Sara Demster, Lillian, Lucy Larsh, and Madison Redfern finished in 2nd place.

Boys 100 Medley Relay with Marco Pereda, Noah Roach, Sage Madison, and Conner Bundy finished in 2nd place.

Girls 100 Freestyle Relay with Sara, Lillian, Lucy, and Madison finished in 3rd place.

Boys 100 Freestyle Relay with Sage, Noah, Peyton Jackson, and Marco finished in 3rd place.

Volleyball

The Husky volleyball team had a great year and finished out with these awesome players of the week. Now it's time for some BASKETBALL!

Halloween

We had some awesome student AND staff Halloween costumes this year! Officer Smiley made his yearly return!

AVID Scavenger Hunt

Ms. Veatch no only embraced dressing up as Carmen Sandiego for Halloween, she paired that with an awesome lesson!

Spooky Potions - Science Lab

The dynamic mother/daughter duo of Mrs. Canfield/Modesitt also designed an awesome lab for students to participate in on Halloween!

Tin Can Cafe

This week they prepared and served baked potato orders to the staff! Thank you to Ms. Lawson and her students for taking such good care of us!

Chik-fil-A

Our PTA Chik-Fil-A day was a HIT with several HUNDRED orders. If you missed out this time, don't worry, there will be many more this year!

No Shave November

There were a few more people on campus that looked like grown students this week as many of our men embraced a baby face and clean slate for "No Shave November" to raise awareness for men's cancer. If you are a man 50 or older, please consult your doctor about necessary checkups to be proactive with your health!

Attention students and guardians, the AVID application window opens TODAY through November 22nd. If you are interested in becoming one of our AVID students and learning all the skills necessary to be prepared for life after high school, then make sure you apply online with this application link for Hubbard Middle School or Tyler Legacy High School if your student is a current 8th grader.
