WE CONTINUE TO MAKE GREAT STRIDES

THIS WEEK IN #HAYNation!

Hello from the Yelle.

Woah! Another week complete in #HAYNation! We are almost halfway through April already! Unbelievable!

As I try to do each week, I use the big picture above to tell the story of the week in pictures for us here at the Yelle.

This week the Big Picture above has snapshots of our students' learning this week with projects in class and STEAM, students looking studious, and of course our celebrating JiJi's birthday in a full penguin suit! YES! Then the ginormous group of students at the bottom was just this past month's phenomenal "mathletes" who finished their grade level journey on ST Math -- absolutely incredible! Such grit, determination, and resilience! Then there is a big group smiling holding our #PositiveSignThursday message of how We Are Making Great Strides, and believe me, I know this is true as I see how much our students have grown so far this year! It is so impressive!

Yelle Spring 2025 MCAS Schedule

Our first leg of our 2025 ELA MCAS administration began this week

for all of our students.

All I can tell you is how proud I am of all of our students' effort!

All we ask is for them to do their best and take their time, and I believe,

that is exactly what they did!

You may not believe this but our students like our MCAS Days.

How might you ask?

Well, our students start their day with a morning Recess, then a Snack, then a couple of hours

set up for testing, then an Afternoon Recess and Lunch, with their Special happening in the

afternoon.

It's a day we just ask for our students to take their time and give their best effort.

That's all we ask.

Other than the testing, the day is very nice for them.

Please just wish your kids to do their best on those days.

That is all we ask.

Remaining Testing Days:

Grade 4

Math Day 1 on Thursday 5/8

Math Day 2 on Friday 5/9

STE on Tuesday 5/13

HAY Spring Walking Club

The HAY School Spring Walking Club is being offered

for students to participate in afterschool.

Families will need to provide transportation from school on days their child stays after to participate.

Sign-ups are open until capacity is reached (25 students per session).

Please note the start date is the week after Break - Tuesday 04/29/2025.

Club dates & time: Tuesdays (04/29-06/03); 2:50-3:50pm

ALL responses due by 4/11/2025.

If your child receives a spot you will receive an

email confirmation with more details.

Don't throw away any of your textiles!

We have our Textile Drive happening later in the Spring during Memorial Day Weekend.

So start planning that Spring Cleaning, as well as supporting our PTO!

HAY PTO Meeting This Thursday, April 17, at 6PM

This month’s meeting is scheduled for this Thursday, April 17, from 6-7PM in the Yelle Library, where we will mostly be discussing plans for our upcoming events and much more.

We would love to see everyone there!
