OMS - The Little Mermaid Theatre Production
The audition for Storybook Theatre’s production of The Little Mermaid will be held on January
20th, 2025 from 3:30 to 5:30 at the Osceola High School Auditorium. Students in grades 5th
through 8th grade are welcome to audition. Approximately 50-60 local students will be cast to
appear in the show with the Storybook Theatre Tour Actor/Director. There is no guarantee that
everyone who auditions will be cast in the play. Students wishing to audition must arrive by
the scheduled starting time and stay for the entire two-hour session. The first 2-hour rehearsal
begins approximately 15-minutes after the audition. No advance preparation is necessary!
Students should be ready to come and have a good time!
Rehearsals will be conducted every day from 3:30 to 7:45 in the Osceola High School
Auditorium. Although not all cast members will be needed at every session, those auditioning
must have a clear schedule for the entire week and if selected., be able to attend all rehearsals
required for their role and be available for all scheduled performances. A detailed rehearsal
schedule will be distributed at the conclusion of the audition. Cast members scheduled for the
full 4 hours and 15 minutes will be asked to bring a snack to be eaten during the 15-minute break
between sessions.
The performances will be held on January 24, 2025 @ 7:00 and January 25, 2025 @ 2:00 in the
Osceola High School Auditorium. To cover the expenses, we hope to collect approximately
$3500 in free will donations from those in attendance. There will be no tickets for this show.
