Letter from the Principal
Dear SJRCS Families,
We express our sincerest appreciation to the faculty, staff, Home and School Association (HSA), Gala and Auction Chairs and Team, sponsors, parents, and community leaders who generously supported our Gala event. Without your unwavering support, we would not have been able to host such a spectacular event. We are thankful for your contribution, which helped us to create an unforgettable experience for everyone who attended.
It's hard to believe we only have 5 full weeks of the 2023-24 school year left. Spring weather is upon us, and there is excitement (and pollen) in the air for everyone. As summer has arrived, students may wear their summer uniforms instead of their regular uniforms. However, they must avoid mixing the two types of uniforms. Please refer to the Parent/Student Handbook for details.
The arrival of spring weather has brought a sense of excitement and anticipation for students and staff alike. The final month of school promises to be full of engaging and enjoyable experiences for everyone. There will be field trips, class activities, and fun events for all!
I understand this time of year can be challenging for everyone as the days get longer, outdoor activities become more enticing, and grilling season is in full swing. It's natural to want to slow down and take it easy as the end of the academic year approaches. However, I urge you to maintain the routines you have established for your children's schoolwork throughout the year. We are amazed by the academic progress and maturity that your children have displayed so far, and we want to maintain that momentum throughout the summer months. It's important to remember that the last month of the academic year is just as crucial as the first, and every effort counts towards your child's academic success.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We are looking forward to an exciting end of the year!
God Bless,
Mrs. Kim Hanner
Principal
SJRCS Inclusion Week: May 6th - 10th!
Welcome to Inclusion Week! As a community, we will be celebrating diversity, equity, and belonging in all its forms. This is an opportunity to recognize the importance of embracing our differences, fostering understanding, and building inclusive communities where everyone feels valued and respected. We invite you to join us as we highlight the beauty of diversity here at SJRCS! From May 6th to May 10th, we will be having a week of dress-down days for students. This means that students can wear either their uniform or gym shorts with the day's theme. Each day is a unique theme that brings students from all grades together. Please note that students need to adhere to the SJRCS Parent Students Handbook dress-down attire.

Advancement News
Viva Las Vegas Auction and Gala!
What a night! Our recent Gala was a tremendous success. We are overwhelmed by the generosity of our supporters and thrilled to announce that we raised over $145,000 through this event . These proceeds will play a vital role in supporting our operations budget, implementing teacher retention strategies, and advancing our new capital campaign, which aims to secure the school vestibule. We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed to the success of these initiatives. This event would not have been possible without our chair members: Allison Dunn, Gala Chair; Aly Giampapa and Emily Long, Auction Chairs.
If you were not able to attend the gala, take a look at the video below to see a sneak peak of our future playground and our new Capital Campaign project!
