Georgia Reads Day

On Monday, September 30th, DPS will proudly participate in GA Reads Day, a celebration of reading across the state. This year, we’re inspired by Georgia’s reading coach, Malcolm Mitchell, who not only overcame literacy challenges but also became a star football player, an author of children's books, and the founder of the Share the Magic Foundation.

We are asking everyone to wear sunglasses and their favorite Georgia gear; this can be a favorite professional sports team shirt, college team shirt, DPS or Park Creek, Georgia destination shirt, or a Peanuts Gang (Charlie Brown, Snoopy, etc) shirt since the theme is Go Nuts for Reading (think Georgia peanuts!).
