SPREAD THE WORD!

It is that time of year when we SPREAD THE WORD!! Our 2024 campaign is underway to Spread the Word to End the Word. This campaign focuses on the use of positive language and actions for promoting kindness and respect for everyone!

As part of this yearly event, our ELSS/ESS program (K-12) is selling shirts and sweatshirts featuring each year's theme! The 2024 Spread the Word theme is: We ALL Belong!

Wear your shirt on 3/27/2024 and let everyone know they belong!

You can order online by clicking below! Please choose High Point Elementary and your shirt will be delivered to school! You can note your child's teacher in the "notes" section of the order! Our ELSS staff will pick up and deliver to your child's classroom!

Shirts must be ordered by 2/19/2024 for a mid-March delivery!

High Point Community Celebration

Wednesday, March 6, 2024 5:30-7:00 pm

ALL High Point families are welcome to join us for dinner and an evening of celebrating the many cultures of High Point. We will provide some pizza, and families are encouraged to bring a small dish from their culture to share. Families can have fun playing games, making crafts, and learning about the languages and cultures of High Point. We hope to see EVERYONE at this special event!

RESTAURANT FUNDRAISER

Mark your calendars for our next restaurant fundraiser night. Join us at 101 Beer Kitchen on Thursday, February 22. Dine in or order carryout (when ordering online please use promo code schoolspirit) 20% of participating sales go to High Point Elementary PTA. More information on the attached flyer.

Do you know a staff member who you feel makes a profound impact on students and Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools? If so, nominate them for the GJPS Heart and Pride award. This award is open to any staff member. regardless of position. Each month, the district will take the nominations to the Heart and Pride Committee, which is composed of community members and former staff members. The committee will select two winners a month that will be recognized by our Board of Education at the monthly meeting. If you have a staff member in mind, please complete THIS GOOGLE FORM. Nominations can take place all year.

We are selling raffle tickets for the upcoming Gahanna Gala!

The tickets are $10 per raffle ticket or 3 for $25. The raffle is for $1000 CASH!

Tickets are $10 or 3 for $25. To purchase you can use the attached form or contact Laura Nice at lauraannnice@gmail.com or 850-345-2226. We accept cash, check (written to GJEF), or Venmo (@LauraNice). The winning ticket will be announced on 2/24/24, the night of the Gahanna Gala. The winner does not have to be present at the Gala to win!

HPE gets back 50% of all raffle ticket sales, so you're directly supporting HPE with your raffle ticket purchase. The winning ticket will be announced on 2/24/24 and the winner does not have to be present to win! Cash is accepted or a check written out to GJEF.

$33,320 for donor designated programs

$98,400 in Scholarships to 34 students
