Meet the Principal
Mrs. Jenna Vincent
Ernest Gallet Families and Community,
I am honored to have the opportunity to lead alongside a great staff at a school full of rich traditions that strive for excellence in education. I am enthusiastic about joining a great community where we can share a vision, instill virtues, and empower our students to seek their full potential.
I began my educational career in Vermilion Parish in the 2009-2010 school year. I taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade from 2009-2020. I accepted a position at Alice Boucher Elementary in 2020 and served as Master Teacher as well as Assistant Principal until my recent appointment to Ernest Gallet.
I have been married to my husband Lucas for fifteen wonderful years. We have two beautiful children, Evelyn, fourteen, and Henry, who is eleven. We stay busy watching our kids compete in multiple sports. My sweet Evelyn is also an amazing young artist!
I believe that great schools are a result of great teachers, staff, parents, and community members. It is my goal to help grow our purposeful community through collective efficacy, communication, professional development, and collaboration with all stakeholders to continue to build and foster the tremendous culture embedded at Ernest Gallet. Eleanor Roosevelt states, “People grow through experience if they meet life honestly and courageously. This is how character is built.” I promise to meet this experience with honesty and courage.
I am beyond excited to begin this new journey with all of you. I will be working closely with our teachers, the office, custodial, food service staff, support staff and community, to provide our children with the best opportunity to learn and grow academically and socially.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions, concerns, or ideas you would like to share.
Meet the Assistant Principal
Mrs. Paula Clement
Ms. Clement began her 24-year career in the field of education in 2000 after graduating from Nicholls State University. Ms. Clement earned both her bachelor’s degree and her master’s degree from Nicholls State University.

Ms. Clement also served as a Literacy Coach, a TAP Mentor Teacher, a Middle School ELA Interventionist, and an SBLC/RTI Chairperson in Lafourche Parish and Assumption Parish. Ms. Clement spent several years serving Lafourche Parish in the capacity of an elementary school Assistant Principal. In addition to her role as Assistant Principal, Ms. Clement also served as a District Coordinator overseeing all highschool’s 21st Century Learning Centers. In addition to her passion to make a difference in everyone whose paths cross hers, Ms. Clement is equally compassionate about helping homeless, neglected, and abused children. Ms. Clement served as a board member for the United Methodist McDonnel’s Children’s home located in Houma, Louisiana. She became an active voice for the home as she too was once a resident and a ward of the state.
She believes her journey to leadership is a testament to everyone about the importance of affording everyone an equal opportunity to a rigorous education. As an active United Houmas Indian citizen, Ms. Clement understands first hand the importance of equity and equality in the classroom, as she is one of the first members in her immediate family that was allowed to attend public school.

“I am extremely excited to be joining the highly motivated team at Ernest Gallet Elementary School. I look forward to building positive relationships with students, staff, and our community.
