Extended Tutorial is planned on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays each week this semester. Students can stay after school for ANY teacher's office hours, clubs, and/or teams and then report to the extended tutorial. Students must be picked up by 6pm on extended tutorial days. This allows families a later window for transportation while allowing students access to extracurriculars and office hours..

The last Progress Report of the semester has been posted! Now is a key time to review your student's progress and discuss their plan for success on final semester grades. Student grades are updated in Infinite Campus and can be monitored by parents via Parent Portal.

RCPS High School students have the opportunity to earn the ability to exempt a semester exam in one or more of their classes. Please review the important information below with your student ahead of First Semester 9th-12th grade final exams scheduled for December 18th-20th. Eligible students will need to complete and return the form to the front office at Rockdale Magnet School or email it to MagnetOffice@rockdale.k12.ga.us between December 9th and Tuesday, December 17th at noon.

All 9, 10th, &11th grade students and at least one adult family member should plan to attend our Advisement and Schedule Planning Meeting next week on Thursday, December 12th from 6-7:30pm. We are excited to begin planning next steps in your college & career journey as well as next school year. This meeting is planned to be virtual to assist with increased participation with our families and their schedules. Teams link will be shared after Thanksgiving.

In celebration of World Wildlife Conservation Day, the students of the Zoology and Botany classes will present research compendiums on flora and fauna to bring about awareness for the preservation of diversity on our planet.

• Cutoff date for any late work still eligible to submit- Tuesday, December 10th

• Zoological and Botanical Sciences Symposium- Wednesday, December 11th

• 9th, 10th & 11th Grade Advisement Family-Student Meeting – Thursday, December 12 6-7:30pm

• End of Semester Social including BSSU hosted Movie party, Project ASO and LatinX Taste of Traditions Potluck, and Magnet Inc's Shopping- Friday, December 13 3:15-5pm

• Final Exams Start- Wednesday, December 18th (see exam schedule in the Exam Exemption letter)

• Last Day of 1st semester & Early Release for HS- Friday, December 20

• December Break (no school for students and teachers)- December 23- January 2
