Greetings CMSD Family and Friends,
As we continue to embark on this new academic year, I want to express my deep gratitude for your commitment to our scholars and their success.
One of the ways we’re working together to ensure that success is through MyPowerHub, our online gradebook tool that allows parents and caregivers to access real-time updates on their child’s academic progress. As we approach the upcoming parent-teacher conferences (October 29 for K-8, and October 30 for High School), having a clear picture of where your child stands is essential. These conferences are an opportunity to have meaningful, proactive conversations with your child’s teachers, ensuring that we’re all working collaboratively to support their learning journey. For those who have not accessed MyPowerHub, you will have the opportunity to receive your access code to the portal at the upcoming conferences.
Building an engaged community has always been central to our mission, and empowering our families with the tools to participate in their child’s education is a reflection of our core value: excellence and achievement. I’m proud of the progress we’ve made so far and of the many parents who are already experiencing the benefits of MyPowerHub firsthand. Take a moment to hear from one of our parents about the difference it’s made in their family.
In that same spirit of engagement and collaboration, I want to personally encourage you to participate in CMSD’s Equity Audit survey. This survey is an important step toward identifying and addressing disparities in access and outcomes within our schools. By taking part, you are lending your voice to a crucial conversation—one that ensures every scholar, regardless of background, has the opportunity to thrive. Whether you are a parent, guardian, educator, or staff member, your feedback will help shape policies and programs that create a more equitable learning environment for all our CMSD students. The survey is completely anonymous, and your candid input is invaluable.
As we continue to work toward our shared goals, I’m reminded that it is through collective action and genuine partnership that we create lasting change. Together, we are building a future where every child has the chance to reach their full potential—and that future is shaped by each and every one of us.
Thank you for being a vital part of this journey.
Yours in Gratitude,
Dr. Warren Morgan
