Mr. Smith's Scoop 🍦
Happy Friday!
What a fantastic week! On Tuesday morning, Mr. McClellan, our assistant principal, and his wife had twin boys. He will be out for the next month on paternity leave. While he’s out, Mrs. Devine, the former principal of Rose Lane, will be here as our interim assistant principal.
On Tuesday evening we had our Family Financial Literacy Night. Arizona Council on Economic Education partnered with Wells Fargo to engage our families in games and activities to help our students develop an understanding of spending, budgets, and wants versus needs. Those in attendance even got a free pizza dinner.
Yesterday students and staff were able to dress as their favorite character or in a Halloween costume. There were so many cute (and some scary) costumes. Students and staff had a great day!
Today we held our October Student of the Month lunches. As I have said before, this is one of my favorite events. It is so much fun seeing students recognized for showing their CUBS expectations & having their families join the celebration. A huge “Way to Go” to all our Students of the Month!
Have a fantastic weekend.

¡Feliz viernes!

Fresh News from the Cafeteria!
🎈 Got a Birthday Coming Up? Purchase a Birthday Box! 🎈
Our cafeteria can provide birthday boxes at a very low cost. This reduces the impact on classroom learning time (every minute counts), reduces the likelihood of ants in classrooms and creates a fun celebration during lunch times. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tkA7cxvKb4gCb7RDTtE2mxsgSZzxXMui/view?usp=sharing
