Central Elementary Bits and Bites

The request for chicks was positively overwhelming! Thank you for supporting our Ag Adventures! Mrs. Blair currently has a wait list for anyone who is still interested in chicks.

Everyday, students pair up with a classmate that we call an Accountability Partner to check in on their Lead Measure completion. A Lead Measure (formerly referred to as homework) helps students practice skills to achieve their Wildly Important Goal (WIG). Each student has created a WIG in the area of reading based off of their Star 360 scores that they revisit and track their progress in their leadership portfolio and keep a scoreboard of their success. Students understand that when setting goals, certain skills need to be practiced to help them reach those goals in and out of the classroom. Students in the primary hallway have a reading activity to complete, while students in the upper elementary have a reading or writing activity they can choose from a Choice Board. Practicing skills with parents or independently can have a great impact on their achievement and goal progress. We thank you for supporting your student's learning and helping them to achieve their goals! If you have any questions about Lead Measures or student goals, feel free to reach out to your child's teacher!

Parents- please be sure kids are dressed and prepared for the cold conditions. As long as the weather permits, we will be taking our kids outside for recess. If your family is in need of coats, hats, gloves, long pants and tops, please reach out as we have generous donations for this need specifically!
