Things to Talk About
Maine students must participate in statewide ELA/literacy and mathematics assessments in grades 3-8 and science assessments in grades 5 & 8. The assessments are computer-based and adaptive, meaning the assessment adjusts the difficulty level of the questions based on the student’s responses. State assessments are designed to measure what a student knows and can do in relation to grade-level content. Results for 2023/24 have been sent home with students this week. Please check backpacks for this information if your student is in grade 4-8 this year.
Next week is our finally push for the Soup-er Bowl Food Drive. Students are encouraged to wear a team jersey next Friday to help celebrate the collection! Here are the standings for this week:
1st place: the Pre-K - 2 floor with 173 cans
2nd place: the 3-5 floor with 148 cans
3rd place: the 6-8 floor with 73 cans
