Two years ago, I had my first mammogram at the age of 39 because I was experiencing pain. This was followed by an ultrasound + a biopsy to confirm that two spots were not cancerous (one was a cyst + one was a fibroadenoma). I was then screened every 6 months until "graduating" to the regular schedule of annual mammograms last year.

Today, I had my annual mammogram because I believe in the power of prevention + early screening. It took less than 15 minutes - don't let "I'm too busy" be your excuse.
