Dear Tully Families,

The year is really flying by! It's hard to believe we are getting ready for the Thanksgiving Turkey Trot just around the corner!

We had a busy October! The Scholastic Book Fair Family Night was beautifully complemented by our Día de los Muertos celebration. It was heartwarming to see families come together to celebrate culture and literacy. The student artwork was beautiful! Families enjoyed having breakfast with their student at the Spooktacular breakfast and later in the day we had our Halloween Parade.

Additionally, our students were treated to a spectacular performance by the Arizona Opera, presenting Ruskala, The Littlest Mermaid. I must commend our students for being such an amazing audience—BRAVO to all of you for your enthusiasm and respect during the performance!

We held a successful Community Garden Day, where many hands came together to prepare our garden for winter. It was a fantastic opportunity for our students and families to engage with nature and contribute to our school's green space.

Thank you for your continued support and participation in our school events. Together, we are creating memorable experiences for our students!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

The registration countdown has begun! If you need any help with registration for the 2025-26 school year, please stop by the front office and talk to Sue. Tully is always one of the first schools (if not the first) to have 100% of our students registered before any other school in the district. Sue will give you a friendly reminder 🙂. Every class that gets 100% will get an ice cream party!

Tips For Registration

• Your Parent Vue Accounts will be open for registration on Monday November 4th Parents/Guardians
• Make sure when you open your account you click on the school year 2025-2026
• If you cant remember your Password or don’t have a computer or would like us to help you, come on into our office and we will be glad to help you-or we can help you over the phone.
• You need a new proof of address -- So please attach it to your child’s registration or email the proof of address and I will attach it for you. Susan.ramirez@tusd1.org

During the fall season there are so many great community events here in Tucson and here at Tully Elementary – thank you for participating in our community events! As a few of our leaves here at Tully begin to change color from green to yellow, it makes us think of our first graders, the “Fantastic Fruits” and how they take care of, or steward, our fruit trees, such as pomegranates, peaches, fig, and citrus. In our ‘Science and Stewardship’ class, the first graders have been learning about the lifecycle of worms by reading through a story together, then we observe the worms in our compost bin. Afterwards, we steward the garden by spreading woodchips and compost around our fruit trees. Here’s a picture of first graders ready to take care of our trees!
