Message from the Principal
Hello Gator Families-
I hope you are enjoying the warmer weather that continues to show itself! Please take time to review the newsletter for many details and dates.
Thank you to all the third-grade families for your part in helping IREAD 3 testing go well. We are 100% finished with IREAD3 and move on to IREAD for 2nd-grade students next Tuesday and Wednesday. 2nd-grade families, please remember to have student IPADS charged for Tuesday morning.
Remember, we do not have school on Monday because it was originally a Weather Makeup Day. With the lack of snow this winter, we will be enjoying an extra day in March! Speaking of days off, remember that March 29 is a weather makeup day and April 8 is a NO SCHOOL DAY. April 8 is the Eclipse day and Fishers is in the path of totality for viewing. The local preparation for traffic control on April 8 is extensive; please be prepared for crowded roads and traffic to be HIGH. Plan ahead for eclipse glasses too. The NSTA , NASA, and NOAA are good resources regarding the eclipse.
Finally, as we approach the final quarter of the 2023-24 school year, we will be having Earth Day, Field Day, and classroom showcases. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure that background checks are up to date. Please use this link to assure you, your spouse, and anyone else who needs a background check has completed the task one week in advance.
I hope you have a wonderful two weeks! Thank you for sharing your children with us.
With gratitude,
Christi Thomas
Principal, GES

Theatre Fishers Performance
Theatre Fishers is pleased to present the murder mystery-comedy The Night I Died at The Palace Theatre on March 21, 22, and 23.
The Palace Theatre actors are getting ready for their final rehearsal of their latest production, I Ain’t Got No Body, when they run into a snag. The director who wrote the play is found dead on stage. These actors now must navigate figuring out who done it and why. They suspect each other as they all have reason to off the director, but since they are actors, it is unclear who could have pull this off.
All performance are at 7 p.m. in the Fishers High School Auditorium. Tickets are available now at the following links:
- Tickets for Thursday, March 21st - www.purplepass.com/palacethu
- Tickets for Friday, March 22nd - www.purplepass.com/palacefri
- Tickets for Saturday, March 23rd - www.purplepass.com/palacesat
