⭐ DCMS Club Information ⭐
SERVICE CLUB
Service Club is a club that works to help the community. Each year, we make jump ropes out of t-shirts to send to other countries around the world to help children in need. We also collect socks that are donated to a local youth shelter, SISU. In addition, we create blankets for Project Linus which are donated to the Foster Care Intake Center. All 7th and 8th grade students are welcome to join...if you miss a meeting, just come to the next one! Direct any questions to Mrs. Davis.
Meeting Details:
We meet on Wednesdays after school in Mrs. Davis' room, B218 until 4:15 pm. *The only exception to that is the first week of every month, when we meet on Mondays instead.*
NATIONAL HISTORY DAY CLUB
National History Day Club (NHD Club) prepares students to research historical events and people in preparation to compete in National History Day. This club is open to all 7th and 8th grade students. Direct any questions to Mrs. Walker.
Meeting Details:
We meet every other Thursday in Mrs. Walker's room, A7. Students must have a ride home at 4:00 pm.
YOUTH & GOVERNMENT CLUB (YAG)
Students have the opportunity to participate in YAG’s Model Legislative Day. Students write a bill about something they would like to change within the state of Oklahoma. Then, they represent their bill and debate other student bills while serving as a Junior Senator or Junior Representative for the day! The mission of YAG is to help students find THEIR voice. This club is open to all 7th and 8th graders. Direct any questions to Mr. Cory.
Meeting Details:
We meet every other Thursday until 4:15 pm in Mr. Cory's room, A201, as to not compete with NHD Club.
MATH TEAM
Are you a problem solver? Do you love working with numbers? Join the Math Team! We learn about the intricate world of math and participate in math competitions throughout the year. Direct any questions to Mrs. Maloney.
